4th June 2007 Junior Development... Join the Junior Sharks!! The Sharks are keen to develop a junior structure - for all ages! We have already had interest from local juniors looking to play, with many parents looking to offer additional opportunities for their children to play more rugby and in particular - rugby league, over the summer. If your child would like to be a part of the Sharks set up, regardless of their age or ability, then here is their chance. Clubs from other areas are also keen to link up to play matches. We will also be looking to recruit volunteers to assist us in the development of the Junior Sharks - particular coaches, transport providers, kit washers, programme sellers etc etc etc. The more the merrier! For more information on playing or coaching at junior level, please get in touch with Gareth Govier, on 07876 324833.
28th May 2007 Sharks' Dinner... To celebrate a second successive season within the Welsh Rugby League Premier Conference, the West Wales Sharks held a players' dinner at the Verendah Indian Restaurant, Llanelli. The evening was treated as an excellent opportunity for a spot of team building within the squad. There was also strong support from some of the clubs' officials, sponsors and supporters. The Sharks would like to thank the Verandah Indian Restaurant for their excellent hospitality and service on the night. The Sharks would also like to thank those who came along and supported the club. On behalf of the players, a big thank you goes to our Chairman Gareth Govier who made the night possible. Cheers Govs!! Fund-raising is still a prime objective of the Sharks. If anyone out there has any fund-raising ideas, let us know! Contact details can be found here
14th May 2007 Scott McRorie 9s - Postponed... Due to adverse weather conditions, the Scott McRorie 9 a-side competition scheduled for Sunday 13th May 2007 has been postponed to the weekend of the 11th/12th August 2007. In previous years, the tournament has been used as a way to kick off the Premier Conference Division. However, this year it will be used as a way to end the season as the tournament will now follow the Wales Grand Final weekend.
