About the SHARKS
History
Established in the spring of 2006, the West Wales Sharks were the new boys of the 2006 season and what was the Western Conference of the Wales Amateur League.
With the likes of the Bridgend Blue Bulls, Aberavon Fightin' Irish and the Swansea Valley Miners in the same conference, the Sharks proved that they were not intimidated by the experience that these teams had in their arsenal.
The 2006 fixtures provided some fantastic open rugby from the Sharks and although there were heavy losses in the Bridgend Blue Bulls games, the Sharks ended their season with two convincing wins against the Fightin' Irish and the Miners.

The Sharks' Headquarters is Furnace United RFC. See here for more information.

Honours
The Sharks are also proud to honour four members of the team who were privileged to represent their country at Amateur and Under 19 levels.
As a result of the popularity that the team received during the 2006 season, we can only hope that the team will continue to grow and grow over the next few seasons!
